Less than 100-metres from two beautiful sandy beaches and close to numerous tavernas, Alexis Apartments offer self-catering accommodation in Stavros, Crete. This charming seaside village is surrounded by an aquamarine bay, mountains and olive groves. The shallow waters are great for children, swimming and snorkelling. It was on Stavros beach that Anthony Quinn and Alan Bates danced the Sirtaki in the movie Zorba the Greek. Despite the film’s popularity, the village remains unspoilt, offering peace and quiet away from the usual tourist trail.

Stavros is in Western Crete on the Akrotiri Peninsula, 17km from the lovely harbour city of Chania. The apartments are only a 15-minute drive from Chania airport and there are direct flights from the UK from May to October. Buses run regularly from the airport to Stavros, there’s also 24 hour car hire at the airport.
